With years of experience working within his family's restaurants, Eddy Phimphrachanh has ventured off to open his own and first, Thaifoon Restaurant in London, Ontario. His simple concept was to offer London an Asian eatery that would stress the details of all the important elements of a restaurant; ambiance, food, and service.
Eddy was intimately involved in every aspect of planning, designing, and the construction of the restaurant, form the first blueprints to the last brush stroke of earth tone.
Personally trained by his mother, Arounvaty, a native Thai chef, Eddy is a knowledgeable Thai saucer, and trained int he technique of authentic Thai cooking. The design of the menu was a joint effort with Eddy and Arounvaty, blending her traditional styles with his contemporary flair offering a diverse and approachable cuisine.
The team at Thaifoon, strives to provide incredible service that mends ambiance and food to complete the package of a memorable experience.
Opened in September of 2005, Thaifoon continues to grow its fine reputation of providing excellence in food, service, and ambiance.
